New FORGOTTEN WOODS Album On 20 Buck Spin

20 Buck Spin is proud to announce a collaboration with one of our all-time favorite bands, the cult underground black metal legends from Norway, Forgotten Woods.

Forgotten Woods has returned to the fold with their unique avant-raw black metal after a 10 year hiatus. “Race Of Cain” is no comeback album however. Rather it’s a continuation of the band’s singular style and vision as only Forgotten Woods can do it, showing that ultra raw, grim black metal has much room for originality and new ideas within its boundaries. No album in 2007 more fully embodies the spirit and aura of early 90s Norway, without sounding like a mere tribute, than “Race Of Cain”. Forgotten Woods was there.

20 Buck Spin will release “Race Of Cain” in North & South America. In Europe, Japan and Australia the album will be released by Aeternitas Tenebrarum Music.

20 Buck Spin will also re-release the entire Forgotten Woods back catalog in North America. The albums, “As The Wolves Gather”, “Sjel Av Natten” and “The Curse Of Mankind” have previously had little to no proper distribution in North America, relegating their status here to cult obscurity for underground fanatics. Now with a proper US based label, the albums will be widely available to a new generation of fans as well as those who missed out originally. All three re-releases will come in digipak format and will include the even more obscure demos as bonus tracks.

“Race Of Cain” should be released during May of 2007 with re-releases to follow in late Summer / early Fall. A follow-up album to “Race Of Cain” titled “Intolerance Div.” is already written and will be recorded during the Summer.
